This mural in downtown Austin may not be there for much longer so, before brunch this Sunday, Dave and I snapped some photos in front of it. It's so fun and bright, I'll be sad to see it go but maybe something just as eye catching will take it's place!
This Sunday was also 6 years since Dave and I started dating! We celebrated at a favorite brunch spot called Swift's Attic that's also downtown. I am a savory foods girl so anytime we do brunch, 90% of the time I will pick a lunch-y thing and Dave has a sweet tooth so he usually gets a sweet breakfast. This is also why brunch is so perfect for us; we can always find something that each of us will love- also MIMOSAS, $1 mimosas at that, win/win. The rest of the day we spent in our comfies (what we call comfy clothes) watching baseball and hockey (well, Dave watched hockey- I took a nap during most of that game...). Later, I made our go-to fancy homemade dinner: steak frites and the 'frites' were parmesan fries w/ homemade garlic chipotle aioli and yes, it was bomb. Dave said it was his favorite steak he's EVER eaten---including better than the steak we get at our favorite fancy-smancy steakhouse, so, I basically crushed that dinner. Proud of myself for that one! We also had red wine, cookies and watched Burning Love, so, it was the perfect night in.
